According to the circular outlining the management of the raw material industry, the government would consider revising its tariff policy to encourage export of processed products with high added-value, while strictly controlling products which cause heavy pollution and energy costs, as well as rare metal products that are used in national strategic safety. No timetable was given in the statement. The move was aimed at encouraging industrial innovation and reducing pollution, said the circular.
