Tsingtao Brewery recently announced that InBev Co.,Ltd. has completed a transaction with Asahi Breweries,Ltd. on April 30, 2009 under the "Agreement for Sale and Purchase of Shares"signed on January 23, 2009.Thus,Asahi Breweries has officially become the second largest shareholder of Tsingtao Brewery.

On January 23 this year, Budweiser InBev entered into an agreement with the Japanese Asahi Breweries,in which the 262,000,000 H shares of Tsingtao Brewery,toally 667 million U.S. dollars were transferred,covering approximately 19.99% of its total equity interest.After the sale was completed,the proportion of InBev's shares fell to 7.01%,while the Asahi Breweries has become the second largest shareholder of Tsingtao,accounting for 26.99% of its total shares,which almost catches up with Tsingtao,the largest shareholder.It is learned that Tsingtao Brewery Group,the largest shareholder,holds 30.89% of shares currently.If Asahi purchases 3.9% of shares from Inbev in the H-share market more,it would get control over Tsingtao.
